II. Migration to Waymark's Network
Q:When will I see these changes?
A:Many changes have already taken place with
almost all changes to residential services complete. You will be notified by
e-mail when changes are planed.
Q:How will this affect my e-mail address?
A:Your primary email address will not change.
Our technical team has made sure that you will be able to keep your current
primary email address. So even though you will become a Waymark subscriber you
will still have the same email address as when your service was provided by
Verix. font-family:Arial;
Q:Will my service be disrupted?
A:Your access to the Internet should not be
disrupted because of this migration. You may however, be required to dial a new
local access modem number to connect to the Internet. We are looking forward to
you becoming a Waymark subscriber and taking advantage of all we have to offer.
Q:What do I need to do to migrate to Waymark Internet?
A:Currently there is no action necessary to
migrate to Waymark's network if you are a residential subscriber (Other than
possibly changing the dialup number).
Q:Do I need new software?
A:No, you can continue without any change in software.
Q:Will I need to do anything new to log onto the Internet?
A:No, you can continue logging onto the
Internet the same way you always have. Some customers that have the same login
id as a current Waymark customer will have to change their login. If there is a
duplicate logon name, initially the Verix Technology users will have a new in front of
their dialup logon name (ie. say there is an existing logon name of
"bob" and there is a logon name of "bob" at Verix Technology. The Verix
name will change to "vbob". ). This will not affect most the Verix Technology
customers as there are not that many duplicates.
Q:Will my access number change? What access number do I use?
A:The access number you use will change. New numbers are listed on the Waymark Web Site, also you will be sent the new access numbers by email.
Q:What happens to my homepage?
A:Over time the Verix Technology Homepage will be phased out (ETTBD). It will be replaced by the Waymark's Homepage.
Q:Will my Internet speed change if I am a Dial Up customer?
A:The speed at which you connect should not change. The speed at which you connect can be impacted by a number of factors
some related to your individual PC and others related to Internet conditions. So, the speed at which you connect may vary from one log-on to the next. You will still receive the high level of dependable service provided by Verix Technology.
You will be migrating to Waymark's Dial Platform which will improve the reliability and availability of access, but in truth some customers will receive a better faster connection and some will not and most will connect at
the same rate.

III. Email Questions
Q:What happens to my current e-mail address?
A:Your e-mail address(s) will stay exactly the
same. The only difference is that Waymark mail servers will be handling your
email after your account is moved(date and time will be announced). There will
be an email sent to you when changes will be necessary. The only change that
will be necessary is on your email client (ie. Outlook express..) You will need
to change your email logon user name to include @verix.net (ie change the
email logon name from bob to bob@verix.net).
Q:How do I add more e-mail addresses?
A:You can simply call Waymark's Sales Team and
they will assist in adding an extra email account.
Q:Can I access my Waymark/Verix Technology email account when I’m not home?
A:Yes you can. Once the Verix’s email is
handled by the Waymark servers, just go to www.waymark.net
and enter you full email address and password into the box that reads “Check Email” in the upper right hand
corner. Again, this service will only be
available to Verix Technology customers when the switch to Waymark's mail server is
complete. You will be informed by email when this is available.
Q:What Internet client software programs can I
use with Waymark Internet?
A:Since Waymark's systems meet Internet
standards, you can either use your own tools for accessing the Internet through
Waymark. For instance, if you would like to use Eudora as your e-mail program,
simply change the default settings, and you'll be up and running! However,
Waymark Internet only provides support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and
above, Outlook Express, Netscape Navigator and Netscape mail.
